"M" is not for Matt!

Quinton has become VERY proficient at writing the first letter of his name and will write a "Q" on anything he can find. So Saturday, while out for lunch, Quinton was writing Qs on a piece of paper so Matt wrote an S for Stacy and then wrote an M for Matt. When Matt showed Quinton the M for Matt, Quinton said, "No dad, that means french fries!"
Oh my!

PSA

A friendly public service announcement from me and yes, this may be a random post, but blog worthy, in my opinion!

Lately, it seems that EVERY week, I am becoming more frustrated as a shopper.

Not because there aren't good deals or I can't find what I want...but because I am being robbed by stores! Okay, maybe not robbed but I am very frustrated that at least ONCE a week, I find a discrepancy in my receipts at any given store I visit on the average week! I'm continually being charged more that I really owe.

It happened again, today, where I bought two sale items and while walking to my car, realized I'd been charged more for the items than was on the price tag! Argh! This is really starting to bug me! I walked back into the store and pointed out the mistake. This is where I get mad. She tried to tell me, before even looking at the receipt or listening to me, that there was not a mistake. Seriously?

So after I showed her the price tags on the items and the charge on the receipts, she tried to tell me that the price tags were wrong! Again, seriously? After a short discussion, she did end up refunding me the difference which was almost $2. Now, I know that doesn't sound like a big deal but also realize, I find this kind of thing happens at least once a week!

If you multiplied $2 by 52 weeks in a year that equals = $104

Multiply $104 by 30 years and you have over $3,300 in overcharges!

Enough of my rant, but seriously, check your receipts!

I Dare you!

I double dare you to accept this challenge.

This game involves a few of my favorite things: handmade goods, creativity, and gift-giving. Here are the tagging instructions: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

I hope that I have at least 5 friends that will do this!
P.S. I know some of my Blog followers do not normally post comments, so if you would like to be "entered", send me an email and I'll do this for the first 2-3 friends who email me, too.

So Many Princesses, So Little Time!

Quinton was invited to a "Dancing Princess Party" as the token "Prince"!
What's a kid to do surrounded by no less than 5 super adorable princesses?
Dance his royal pants off, I guess! I had a lot of fun making a princely costume for Quinton. I didn't want him to shown up by all of the pink tulle in the room!

Isn't he is the cutest Prince Charming?

Matt tried to keep up with Quinton, but it's hard when your own son is so darn cute, I mean handsome!

All caught up...

I think I am all caught up now. Just thought I would share one more thing...

Today, Quinton was playing in the bathroom sink while I was refolding laundry he "accidentally" knocked over, earlier. When I went into the bathroom and found that he had squirted the hand soap all over the sink, I said:
"Do you know that mommy DOESN'T love to clean up so many messes?"
Quinton's response:
He gasped in a suprising gasp and said, "YES you do!"

I really think he believes that!

Happy Valentines!

As if I didn't post enough pictures tonight, here are more!
Happy Valentines!
Is he not the cutest little heart breaker on the block?
Quinton even had his own Valentine's stash from his preschool party!
Matt's Valentine ballons.
No lie, Quinton took this picture!
Matt and Quinton made me a lovely Valentine.
We had a fun evening. We took Q to the gym child care with some friends and then the adults played Settlers of Catan in the gym common area. Babysitters are VERY hard to come by on a day like Valentines Day! So we made the best of it.

Happy 45th Birthday!

Dear Matt, Happy 45 th  Birthday! You are still missed and loved dearly. I would like to think this is when your mid-life crisis should...
